Top 10 Under $10 (Part 2)

It’s time for Part 2 of my favorite 10 products under $10. These products are in no particular order so it’s not like these are the rejects of what would have been a top 5. I truly love these products and it’s such an awesome bonus that all of these babies are under $10! If you missed the first part to this post, check out Part 1 here. It makes shopping so much more guilt-free. Enough rambling, onto the goodies!

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

I first picked up this product because I heard it was a dupe for the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. I still haven’t img_4854tried the NARS concealer, but I was addicted to this concealer for the longest time before I bothered to try anything else. Since this is such an affordable product, I had this in two shades at one point and basically used it all over my face! One shade was 1-2 shades lighter than my skin tone and I used it to cover up any darkness or discoloration under my eyes, and to highlight the center of my face. If I had any blemishes on my skin, I had this product in a shade that matched my skin tone in order to help conceal that. This product will crease if you don’t set it with a powder, but I’m so accustomed to putting powder on after my concealer that it isn’t a huge deal. It’s just so creamy and easy to blend- I definitely recommend!

NYX Retractable Lip Liner in Nude

Lip liner is one product I really need to explore more. I would much rather grab a new lipstick or gloss than spend any money on liner. But I need to test out different brands and formulas! I have discovered that I love retractable img_4856liners because they’re creamier and glide onto the lips much more smoothly than any pencil liner I’ve tried so far. These NYX liners ring true to being creamy and gliding on- plus they’re affordable and come in tons of shades! My favorite for under $10 is the shade Nude because it matches my lips almost perfectly and it’s such a great universal shade to pair with any lip color. I need to get around to being more adventurous in trying new lip liners but with this great option at such a great price, I find it so hard!

Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Bad to the Bronze

I’m pretty sure KathleenLights inspired this purchase…like she does practically all of my purchases. I am obsessed img_4855with bronze and gold eyeshadows in general- I will rock a bronzed look all year long! I just love how those shades make my blue eyes pop so I cannot get enough of bronze and gold. This is such an awesome eyeshadow from the drugstore. I don’t own many affordable eyeshadows (MakeUp Geek being the only exception) but this one is like a cream base. I actually haven’t tried it layered with another shadow on top because honestly this color is just so pigmented and amazing. It has a shimmer/sheen to it, but it’s not chunky and I still find it appropriate for the office. I’ve applied this with both a brush and my finger and either way the application is easy. Granted, it’s a little more messy with my finger but the pigmentation is the same and it still glides onto the eyelids easily. I wish they offered more shades in this product!

L’Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper

Ohhhh man. This product is actually relatively new to me but it might be in the category of one of my all time favorite products from the drugstore. AND it’s under $10? I’m already planning on repurchasing this product and I’ve been img_4791using this for like a month. I heard KathleenLights raving about this (yes, I would buy absolute crap if Kathleen asked me to :P) so I finally decided to pick this up. It seemed like a possible dupe for Benefit’s Gimme Brow but I was not expecting to love this as much as I do! I got the shade Light to Medium and let me just say that I love the color way more than the Gimme Brow. It looks more natural and less gray. The brush of this product is bigger than the Gimme Brow which I thought I would hate BUT it makes it so much quicker to apply! You can basically get the whole brow coated in a few short strokes and move onto the next part of your routine. I also actually notice the little fibers it adds to your brow to help plump them. I know they’re in the Gimme Brow too, but when I remove my makeup at the end of the day I actually see the fibers when I use this. I never saw any of that with the Gimme Brow. This looks great on its own or layered over a brow pencil. I cannot recommend this enough- go buy it!!

NYX Intense Butter Gloss in Tres Leches

This is another recent purchase of mine but it’s been on my wish list for so long! I would either forget about it when img_4794placing an order or the shade I was looking for never seemed to be in stock. I’ve been searching for more true nude lip products recently, so I decided to pick up Tres Leches during one of my recent purchases. I’ve seen multiple YouTubers use this product but I was still shocked by how pigmented this was! You don’t actually need to wear lipstick under this because the color could totally stand on its own. It’s a great nude shade and it goes on so smoothly. The pigmentation is so ridiculous and the texture is perfect. I hateeee sticky glosses but this was thicker so it was more creamy than sticky and my hair never got caught in it throughout the day. You could also use this to layer over a lip liner or lipstick if you wanted that fuller, pouty lip look. It’s not super “wet” glossy but it definitely has a great sheen to it. I am definitely going to pick up more shades in this product and would recommend it if you’re looking for an affordable, pigmented gloss!

After breaking down these products, I totally want to go play with more drugstore products! You definitely hear more hype and PR from the high end and luxury makeup brands but there are honestly great finds at the drugstore. I think in the future I will do more reviews and hauls from the drugstore because they’re really stepping it up quality-wise from what I remember from my high school days! What are your favorites from the drugstore?! I’d love to pick up new things next time I’m shopping so let me know in the comments!
