My “Signature” Summer Look

As much as I try, sometimes I do fall into a “signature” look, or a rut of sorts. I do try to be creative and have some fun with my day to day makeup! But sometimes it’s just easier to keep it simple and make sure you can get out the door on time. Especially with the summer heat and humidity, I’ve found myself sticking to a similar look for most of the season.

Base

A few months ago, I decided to bite the bullet and buy the Hourglass Foundation Stick. I picked mine up in the shade Nude. I love how easy and quick this is to apply. And there’s minimal mess! The convenience outweighs the shade because it all balances out in the end. Next I go in with concealer- my trusty Shape Tape, of course! I have the shade Light which is less brightening but more natural than Fair Neutral. After that, I’ll set my T Zone and my concealer with powder. To finish off my face I’ll use my Tarte 12 Hour Blush in Captivating, And can’t forget the summer bronze! For that, I’ve been grabbing the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer in Milk Chocolate. I’ve been skipping highlight! The finish of the foundation and my natural oil from summer is enough of a dewy finish for me!

Eyes

I’ve been keeping my eyes very simple and very neutral lately. It’s either that I’m too tired in the morning or I’m just feeling lazy. Either way, I haven’t been getting super creative in my eye looks lately. Most of the time, I’ll just take my Too Faced bronzer and fluff it in my crease. If I’m slightly more motivated, I’ll go into the Original Tartelette palette and use the top row of shadows. I have been obsessing over the Tarte Double Take eyeliner again. I use both sides for my eyeliner- it just depends on the day. If I’m feeling like I have steady hands I’ll use the liquid side or the pencil side if I’m more rushed. To finish everything off, I’ve been trying out the L’Oreal Lash Paradise mascara. I’ll probably do a full review and hyped up post soon!

Finishing Touches

The rest of my go-to look is pretty quick and easy. I have been living for the Benefit Goof Proof brow pencil. The shade is perfect, the pencil shape is perfect. It just makes doing my brows fool proof and so much faster than a standard pencil! I’ll always set with some sort of clear brow gel. I don’t have a strong preference so if you have a ride or die, let me know! After that, I just finish everything off with my lip color. The reason I haven’t been so bold with the eyes lately is because I’ve been all about the bold lip! One of my fav shades is Anastasia’s Liquid Lipstick in Carina. Another summer fav has been Kat Von D’s Liquid Lipstick in Berlin. It’s MIA right now and I’m totally devastated. Ok, maybe a little dramatic? Nahhhh- its one of my fav shades!!

Good thing I never claimed my go-to summer look was simple or quick! But I promise it is super easy. I never do any complicated eye looks and I keep my liner very simple. It’s definitely a full face of makeup but it’s become part of my routine! I’d love to see some of your summer looks- leave me pics or inspiration below!
