September Favorites!

September 30, 2017Favorites, , , , Standard

September has been a weird weather month but surprisingly my skin hasn’t freaked out too much! So I’ve been able to try out some new products and I have quite a few favorites this month that I don’t think I’ve ever talked about before. I’ve also rediscovered a couple old favorites. There are a ton of new releases I’m dying to get my hands on so maybe they’ll be new favs next month too! Anyways, here’s the current favs:

Wet n Wild MegaGlo Contour Kit in Dulce de Leche

I just did a full review on this product. I said it in that post, but doing that review made me pick up this product again. And wonder why I ever stopped using it! The contour shade can be used as a bronzer and contour shade in one. It’s a smooth powder that applies evenly and lasts really long on my skin. It doesn’t get patchy throughout the day and it’s super easy to blend! I definitely use the contour shade the most but the highlight shade is also great! It’s just as smooth and the yellow undertone really helps brighten the skin. I mainly use the lighter powder under my eyes to help erase dark circles. I think it also helps to give a more “awake” look overall. The best part about this duo is that it will only run you $5!

Flower Beauty Flower Pots Blush in Peach Primrose

This is a new purchase that I just showed in a recent haul, but I just have to mention it right away! I had heard good things about this blush so I made sure it was in my Labor Day sale order. This blush hasn’t gotten patchy on me and it has great pigmentation. You don’t need to use a lot but you can easily blend it out if you go a little overboard. These blushes retail for $10 so they’re not super affordable like some other brands. But they are less expensive than other brands found at Sephora or Ulta. I can only find Flower Beauty online or at WalMart so it is a little hard to find. But the quality of this blush is amazing!

Tarte Tartelette in Bloom

This is another old favorite that I rediscovered this month. I’ve been really digging the warm shades this month so the bottom row in this palette has been everything. Sometimes I’ll switch it up and add a shimmer shade from the palette to my lid. I just love the formulation of these shadows. They’re pigmented and build really nicely. But at the same time they blend out like a dream. I also like that this palette has a cool toned row in case you wanted to switch it up some. There’s just so much versatility in this palette! I did do a full review on this a while back as well, if you want more details. Tarte is also coming out with the 3rd installment of the Tartelette palette which looks to be full of warm shades.

Absolute New York Nano Liner

This eyeliner is actually one I got in a recent ipsy bag. I liked it then but I have really been loving it this month! It has really nice black pigment and the tip glides over the eyes really easily. It also hasn’t dried out on me at all, which I was nervous about with the small tip. The biggest standout to me is the size of the pencil. The tip is so teeny tiny but it makes it so easy to get a precise line. I have small hooded eyes so it can be easy to overdo it with my liquid liner. And this prevents my issues with other products! This would be a great liner to trace out your wing and get that nice sharp edge. But I would definitely fill in with another liquid liner because otherwise this would take forever!

L’Oreal Glossy Balm in Lovely Mocha

This is another oldie but goodie for me. My lips have been super dry lately despite exfoliating and moisturizing. So I’ve been opting for more moisturizing formulas to try and help them heal. I also have been into more neutral lips lately because I didn’t want to call attention to my chapped lips. So this glossy balm has been the perfect solution for me. It’s very moisturizing and has a hint of glossy color which I love. I have the shade Lovely Mocha which is a darker nude. They only have 8 shades but for $8 they’re worth a shot to see if they have something you’re looking for. As I’ve mentioned 1000 times before, I love this type of packaging. I can easily throw this in my purse for work and don’t need to fuss over reapplying since it’s on the sheer side.

So, those were all of my favorites for the month of September! I did purchase some new goodies over the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty sale. And I have my eye on some new releases that are being leaked and launched soon! So I’m hoping next month I’ll have some brand new favs to share with you. In the meantime, what have you been loving this month?!
