Products I’m Dying to Try

It’s time to admit it- we all have “wish lists” or “dream carts” for products we just HAVE to had but haven’t bit the bullet and just bought yet. I’ll admit it…my list seems never ending! There’s so many new products coming out for spring and summer and I just want to try all the things. I tried to go through my list and my “dream carts” to pick my top 5 products that I’m dying to try.

Too Faced Born This Way Concealer

I haven’t talked about it much on my blog (yet) but I am absolutely obsessed with the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. Sooooo you can probably (but probably not!) imagine my excitement when I found out they were coming out with a concealer as well. It hasn’t released yet sadly- come onnnn June 15th!!! But, you can look at the shades and descriptions on the Too Faced website. This concealer is coming out in 10 shades and it looks like they tried to accommodate all skin tones between porcelain and deep. There are some people who got this product already at Gen Beauty Toronto and all of the reviews so far on the website are really positive! The formula of the concealer is supposed to be creamy and comfortable while containing beneficial ingredients like coconut water, alpine rose, and hyaluronic acid. These are the same ingredients they highlight in the description for the foundation which works so well with my skin so I have very high hopes for the concealer. T minus 5 days (ish)!

Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer

I need another foundation like I need a hole in the head. Ok, I admit it. Does that make it better for when I finally pick this baby up? No? Ummm well I want to get this anyway! I am a little nervous that this product was so highly hyped up a little while ago and we all know by now that sometimes products don’t live up to the high hype. But this foundation really does seem right up my alley! This product comes in 18 different shades but to be honest, the undertones and ranges seem a bit lacking on the deeper end of the spectrum. I have heard that finding your shade can be challenging and it even says right on the Ulta website that “due to the rich pigment,” shades can appear deeper when first applied. So it does the opposite of oxidizing? Very confused. Anyways, this is supposed to be a foundation and concealer in one so it has amazing coverage while still feeling lightweight and without clogging pores. I love medium to full coverage foundations and everyone I’ve seen wearing this always looks amazing. I want to try it so bad but I feel like this is definitely something that needs to be color matched…and I don’t live close to an Ulta that carries Clinique!

Jesses Girl Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

You may look at this one and be like- uh girl just go grab this from the drugstore next to your office! I have trieddddd I promise. There aren’t that many Walgreens locations near me and I swear every time I go into one to check, it’s always sold out!!! This is such an affordable product so I feel like I don’t want to order just this from Amazon or One day, I will find this in a store and it will be that much more satisfying- it’s all about the hunt, right??? Anyways, this claims to have a super fine brush that can make 1mm lines along with a waterproof formula. I had never heard of this brand before but KathleenLights raves about it all the time in her videos and says she likes it better than Kat Von D’s Tattoo liner. I don’t use liquid eyeliner that much, but I would like to start getting into it and this looks like a great product to try- and it’s budget friendly which is always a plus!

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks

I honestly haven’t even narrowed down colors for this product. But EVERYONE, and I mean everyoneeeeee, talks about this formula. This is supposed to be hands down the best liquid formula out in the beauty world right now. There are so many different colors and there is such a wide range- shades for the bold and shades for the everyday! Trendmood recently did a poll on her Twitter for the best formula and these won out….and I don’t even own one! These are $18 each which is probably part of the reason I haven’t given in and just bought a shade yet. They’re also not available at the mainstream retailers so I try to stay off the Jeffree Star website to avoid the temptation. I feel like I would end up grabbing a shade like Masochist, Doll Parts, or Celebrity Skin. These liquid lips are cruelty free and vegan friendly which is always a plus. This formula dries matte and is supposed to be long lasting just like all other liquid lip formulas but this is supposed to be the most comfortable out there. One of these days I will finally give in and buy a shade…or two…or three.

Ouai Wave Spray

This one actually surprises me but I am actually dying to try this. I don’t usually get excited or super stoked about hair products but this one intrigues me so much! I used to wear my hair wavy so much but I stopped because it never really looked the way I wanted it to and I still haven’t been able to find products that work for my hair. I have gotten super into makeup and skincare but I’ve just never been good at doing my hair. My current routine consists of dry shampoo and hair oil or texturizing spray (or TBD, whatever I have leftover from an old Birchbox/ipsy) and then just blow drying my hair and parting it on the side. But this hair line has gotten great reviews and LustreLux on Snapchat was talking about how much she loved this spray (better than the Bumble!) and her messy waves looked so great! It’s sold at Sephora and is pricey ($26) for what I would normally use in my no-fuss hair routine. The description claims this spray adds hold to give hair a naturally wave and body without that crunch. Someday I’ll need to add something to my cart to get the free shipping…and I will totally throw this baby in!

That was actually much harder than I thought. Could you narrow down your wish list and dream carts into just 5 products?? Which ones would you choose? If you’ve tried any of these and want to share your thoughts on them, please let me know!
