Post-Holiday Sephora Haul
As crazy as the holidays are, I always get so excited after them because I have endless excuses to shop! So of course I took full advantage of the situation and got tons of new goodies. This Sephora haul is a mix of some stuff I got online, in store and a few things from the Anastasia website. Check out all the goodies:
Stila Glitter on the Go Eyeshadow Set
The hype is real for this product. But I know that I wouldn’t use up a whole full size product. So when I saw this set online, it was perfect! You get a rose gold, a gold, and a more brown taupe shade. I figured I would get use out of all of these. I literally gasped when I first opened it too- the glitter is unreal! Cannot wait to try this!
Fenty Pro Filt’r Foundation in 160
I have been so curious about this foundation every since it launched! The reviews made me a little nervous but I am hoping I can use this with an oil or hydrating primer if it’s too mattifying. But after caving to buy the Shape Tape foundation, I really wanted to counter that guilty purchase by supporting an inclusive brand. I’ll elaborate more on that later if you don’t know the full scoop.
It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara
I got a mini version of this mascara in an ipsy bag once and have always wanted to get a full size! I am letting myself test out new mascaras this month since my supply is getting low. This was one of the first formulas that came to mind and I am excited to give it another try! It’s supposed to give amazing volume and length which I am all about.
Kat Von D Everlasting Lip Liner in OG Lolita
The second I saw this lip liner was coming out, I knew I had to have it! It took me longer than I thought but I finally snatched one up. I swatched these on my hand and they were nearly impossible to get off! I had to soak a cotton pad so it was wet and then really scrub before it comes off. So I can only imagine the amazing wear time that this would get on the lips!
Anastasia Eyeshadows (Warm Taupe, Fawn, Victorian, Rich Brown)
This was an unexpected purchase, but I saw on Instagram that Anastasia was having a sale. You could get 4 shadows for $5 each when normally they retail for $12. Then you would also get a 4 well palette for free! I was hoping to grab more cool toned shades, but they were all out of stock. I think the ones I got will work really nicely with the other cool toned shadows I already own.
Erborian CC Creme Skin Perfector in Clair
I saw this CC cream on a video that Christen Dominique did on Korean style makeup. I had never heard much about this brand before she mentioned it but it is a Korean brand. Korean skincare is famous for being chock full of great ingredients. And they are masters of BB and CC creams so even though this was pricey, I just had to try it! It comes out white but as you work it into the skin, it’s supposed to match up to your skin. I’m so intrigued.
Fenty Match Stix in Amber
I was really only in the Fenty section to swatch the foundations. And then I swatched this on my hand and was amazed! I heard reviews that the highlight shades can look drying under the eyes so I wasn’t interested in that. But this Amber shade was insanely creamy and pigmented. And the undertone blew me away! I had been wanting to try more cream products for contouring and this seemed perfect.
Anastasia Lipstick in Latte
I had never heard anyone talk about Anastasia’s bullet lipstick formula, but they were having a sale so I picked this one up! It’s a little different than what I would normally pick because it is a deeper brown tone lipstick. But it was only $5 so I figured I’d give the shade and formula a fair shot! Here’s to hoping the formula is as great as the packaging is!
Stila Huge Mascara
I really have not heard too many people talking about this mascara. But I think I saw a couple of people rave about it on a reddit thread I found. I had been on a mascara hiatus until this Sephora haul- I figured it had been long enough and I could try some new things! The wand is very similar to the Better Than Sex mascara so I’m very interested to see how this compares.
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper
This eyeliner from Kat Von D is such a cult classic that I knew I had to pick it up. I was surprised that this was a brush tip because felt tips seem to be all the rage. But the pigment on this liner was so much richer than the felt tip Ink liner, so I stuck with the original product. I have been getting a little more comfortable with liquid liner and am hoping this brush tip will help me perfect the wing!
Fenty Mattemoiselle Lipstick in Spanked and Griselda
This was another product I wasn’t planning to purchase. Mainly because I tend to prefer liquid lipsticks and already have like 100 of them. But I swatched this in store and holy hell. It was so creamy and so pigmented that I could not resist. And that packaging is like art! Spanked was such a pretty color and I cashed in some points to get a mini Griselda. That shade just is perfect for winter!
Oh, and I got a mini belief Aqua Bomb by using a code online. I’ve heard it’s a great lightweight moisturizer so we’ll see how it goes! I haven’t even tried most of these yet. But I have swatched quite a few in store and am so excited to try them out! There will be full dedicated posts coming soon for most of these products so stay tuned. And let me know what you want reviewed first!
