LuLaRoe Spring Styling: The Maxi
Sadly, this will be my last LuLaRoe post for the Spring! If you didn’t see my first post in the series, check it out here. I also talk a little more in depth about what LuLaRoe even is in my very first post. I started these posts because I found it so hard to find photos of women with my body type wearing these clothes. So, I took matters into my own hands! For reference, I’m 5’2” and usually wear a size 00 or 0.
I actually won this skirt in a giveaway I entered on Facebook which was super exciting! I usually shy away from patterns in general so this piece was probably the hardest for me to style. It was a tad nerve wracking to step out of my comfort zone but I think it paid off! For the first look, I was trying to go a little more casual. I paired the skirt with a white V neck tee and brown sandals. I am wearing a belt in the photos but I think it looks better without. You could also pair with this a basic tank and tuck it into the skirt! I’ve also seen looser tees that are knotted paired with this skirt. One of my favorite things about LuLaRoe pieces is that they are pretty versatile and can be dressy or casual!
For my dressier look, I wore this skirt as a strapless dress! I took a white belt and made the appearance of an empire waist just to give the look more shape. To complete the dressy feel, I wore my favorite wedges. I left the accessories simple, but a chunky or statement necklace would be perfect with this look! This skirt is a slinky material so it has some stretch and is almost silky. I love this look for an evening on the beach because it’s pretty but still flowy. It’s a long skirt, but as a dress it’s nice and cool which is seriously so perfect for summer. I was so nervous to try this because I thought it would be too long but it hits at the perfect length on me! I wear an XXS, in case that helps you figure out your size!
Overall, I love the slinky material of this dress because it’s such a great fabric for Spring and Summer. This print I’m not the biggest fan of but I’m still glad I own it because it’ll help get me out of my comfort zone! I will definitely start paying attention to this style when I’m looking at pop-ups. I’d love to hear your styling ideas too!
