Celeb Inspiration: Lauren Conrad

I have been obsessed with Lauren Conrad’s style since I first started watching her on Laguna Beach. Then came The Hills and the love grew. I just love her classic, romantic sense of fashion and am obsessed with her classic cat-eye makeup. Surprisingly, I don’t own any of her clothing line from Kohl’s. But I do love using her look as inspiration!

LC keeps her skin looking pretty simple and fresh. She tends to prefer tinted moisturizer unless she knows professional photos will be taken. But for her normal everyday, she prefers the lightweight coverage of the Beauty Counter Tint Skin Tinted Moistuizer. I’ve never heard of this brand, but it looks like they have good ingredients. Next, concealer obviously! LC uses the cult favorite NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer lightly- just to cover blemishes and discoloration. Do the least when it comes to concealer. She doesn’t ever mention using powders, but I would definitely set the concealer. For skin, LC barely applies bronzer and just has a very very light contour. Lately, LC’s been favoring Tom Ford’s Bronzing Powder in Gold Dust. LC focuses more on blush to give that perfect flush. She loves Tarte’s 12 Hour Blushes, so find your fav shade! I could see LC rocking the shade Fearless.

Even though her eye makeup is the main focus of her signature look, LC really doesn’t use that many products! She fills in her brows for a more structured look. She says she uses the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil, but my Benefit Goof Proof has a very similar shape. So there are other options out there! She usually goes for a natural but fuller brow. To get her signature cat-eye look, LC has been a longtime fan of the mark. Draw the Line Liquid Eyeliner. For an alternative, she’s also a fan of Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Liner. She normally adds a small flick to her liner, using her lower lashline as a guide. It’s not a full wing- do the upper lash line as normal and then just add your cat-eye flick! Finishing the eyes, apply mascara. LC raves about Maybelline Full & Soft!

To finish off her look, she pops on Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment or Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil for her lips. She varies the shades between bold or natural since her eyes are usually simpler. And obviously a lot of these products could be subbed out for more affordable alternatives- or your personal favs! So, do you see yourself trying out this signature look?
