Brand Focus- It Cosmetics
This post will turn into a mini-series for my blog! I hope to do a post like this about once a month. I’ll talk about my favorite products from the brand, and ones I’d stay away from. I’ll give a mini description of each product and what I love (or don’t) about it! To get started, we’re talking about It Cosmetics. They’re a new brand to me, but I’ve already tried some products that will probably become staples for me. Great skin loving ingredients too!
Your Skin But Better CC Cream
I am actually obsessed with this. I am grabbing the full size for sure! I love that this has SPF 50 so you get some sun protection. It also has great coverage for a CC cream but is so lightweight. It evens out my skin tone and if I just set it with powder, it lasts all day! If you’re oily, you’ll need a good matte primer and powder. But for everyday if you have dry to combo skin, this is awesome!
Superhero Volumizing Mascara
I got this in an ipsy bag and it has been one of my favorites. I’ve been grabbing this over so many of my other mascaras. I feel like a I never run out of sample mascara…until this one. No clumps but amazing volume! I’m a sucker for volumizing mascaras, but I feel like this one lengthens too. The wand has a classic shape and size so applying it is easy. Normally I prefer plastic bristles, but I freaking love this!
Bye Bye Pores Loose Powder
This is close to a miss, so I’m going to include it in this section. The Bye Bye Pores loose powder works, but it’s so crazy messy! I know…most loose powders are messy. I just wish there was a sifter or something with this because it just gets everywhere! But the formula is freaking amazing- pores disappear like magic. If I were looking for this powder right now, I would opt for the pressed powder version instead (it wasn’t available when I bought this).
Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination Concealer
This is probably the biggest miss that I’ve tried from this brand. You only need the tiniest amount of product which is great, but it’s just too much for me. I look and feel greasy when I use this, even with powder on top. I’m just not a fan of the finish for my skin type. I think this could work for you if you have dry skin or a dry undereye area. But for me, it just didn’t work at all. I was hoping this would be great with the CC cream but I’d probably prefer the original version instead.
I also have their CC Airbrush Perfecting Powder, but I can’t put it in the hit or miss category yet. I’ve only used it a couple times so I can’t say for sure what I think about it. I also want to try it alone before I give my full thoughts, but my skin has been too dry recently! I haven’t tried too many products from this brand so I’d love to try more. Let me know your favs below!
