Beauty Holiday Gift Guide

December 5, 2017Product Lists Standard

I am pretty crazy about holiday shopping in that I like to get as much of it done as possible during Black Friday weekend. I try to score great deals to gift (and pick up a few things for myself)! But I know most people don’t shop so early. So, I’ve gathered up some gift sets that I think any beauty lover would love to get! I have it separated out by price range so no matter your budget, you can find the perfect gift!

$25 and Under

Even though this limited edition collection only contains miniature products, it retails for only $25 at Sephora which I think is a great price! First of all, you get a mini Tarteist mascara which is a nice pigmented black mascara. Not my fav from them, but not bad! Then you also get a mini Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint which is a great high end liquid lipstick formula. The star of the show for me is the mini contour palette. You get 2 highlight shades and one deeper shade for contour and bronzing. If you just wanted to buy the mini kit separate, it’ll run you $23. So this set truly is a great value!

Ouai to Go KitImage result for Ouai to Go Kit

This is probably something I should put on my own wish list because I have been talking about trying Ouai products for so long! This kit combines minis of some of their most well known products. It retails for $25 but the full sized products are pretty pricey. So for me this is a great way to try out their products. It comes with their hair oil, dry shampoo foam, and wave spray. They also throw in some elastic hair ties but obviously the real appeal of this kit is the hair products.

I do not have a lot of experience with Caudalie as brand but this trio just seems like a great value! Caudalie is a pretty pricey brand normally so the fact that this trio retails for $18 makes it a great value! In the set you get a moisturizing mask, a Glycolic peel, and a detox mask. The products will suit a variety of skin tones too. And I checked the peel instructions, and it’s a chemical peel mask- not an actual peel-off mask. Much less irritating to the skin in my opinion! I love that there’s a great variety of masks to try. This set would be especially great for someone with combo skin since you get a little bit of everything!

Under $50

Smashbox Drawn In. Decked Out. Shadow + Highlight PaletteImage result for Smashbox Drawn In. Decked Out. Shadow + Highlight Palette

Honestly, of all the sets I’ve seen this one has to be one of the best. First of all, it comes with 2 Cover Shot eyeshadow palettes. They are mini in size but the palettes still come with 8 eyeshadows. One of these palettes on its own retails for $29 and in this kit you get 2! The one palette has very warm shades that are very on trend. The other is an exclusive to this kit and seems to have cooler toned shadows. Plus you get a mini Spotlight highlighting palette. So to pay $39 and get all 3 of these mini palettes is an amazing deal in my opinion!

Yes, another mask set. I just think mini mask sets are great to try out new products and hopefully discover a new favorite! Fresh is another great skincare brand that is known for their black tea and rose lines. And this holiday set has samples from both of those lines! This set comes with their rose mask (soothes and hydrates), black tea mask (smoothes and softens), and a clay mask (deep cleans and purifies). Again, this is a great set that has a little bit of everything. So it does contain something for all skin types. I think again that this would be an especially amazing set for someone with combination skin.

When I first saw this set, I wasn’t crazy impressed. But then I realized that 3 out of the 4 products in this kit are full sized. And that my friends, is an insane value in this set! I would buy this just for the full sized bronzer and mascara that comes in this kit. I’ve talked about Hoola bronzer many times before and the They’re Real mascara is a classic for a reason. A full sized High Brow is a handy product to have, especially if you’re on the go. Last but not least, you get a mini High Beam which I think is great. I’ve never tried their cream highlights so getting this kit would allow you to get some great products!

Under $100

I mean, if you’re going to splurge on a gift it may as well be a classic. This Hourglass palette comes out this time every year in a different variations each time. To me, this is a luxury makeup palette that never seems to disappoint! This year’s palette comes with 2 ambient lighting powders (soft glow), 2 blushes, 1 bronzer, and 1 strobe lighting powder (more intense glow). After looking at the swatches on Sephora’s website I almost didn’t include this because the swatches on tan and deep skin look horrible. But after looking at reviews on the website and on different blog posts, it seems like these shades do work for a wide range of skin tones. I love that you get a little bit of everything with this palette!

Drunk Elephant Volume 1: Hot DateImage result for Drunk Elephant Volume 1: Hot Date

This is another one of those brands that I always drool over when the holiday sets come out, but for some reason still haven’t purchased anything from. I would definitely consider this set to be another splurge but you get such great products! First of all, you get a full sized TLC Framboos Night Serum which is a product I have been dying to try. It’s supposedly a miracle worker for skin tone and texture and normally retails for $90 on its own. So this set’s price tag of $98 is worth it! You also get a mini Beste No 0 Jelly Cleanser, a mini Lala Retro Whipped Moisturizing Cream, and a mini sized Virgin Marula Facial Oil. They also have other sets depending on who you’re shopping for, but this is the one I’d recommend.

These are some seriously luxurious candles. This set retails for $100 and comes with 5 candles, all with different scents. These are mini sized- basically they look like a votive size. One of their full sized candles cost a whopping $65 so this is a great way to get a variety of scents before splurging on a candle. I personally like this set for separating and giving as multiple gifts. They’d be great to give to coworkers, teachers, or for family gift exchanges. These are seriously amazing quality candles that have crazy long burn times. The fragrance also fills large rooms so you don’t need to burn them for very long before they’ve done their job. Could be great to suck up to your boss with too!

I hope that gives you all some great gift ideas for the beauty lovers in your life! Obviously if there’s a specific product your makeup lover wants, grab that instead. One major tip that I have is to be careful with holiday sets. I have been burned before with the quality of holiday sets not being up to par compared to brand’s standard line products. So read reviews, but try to enjoy your holiday shopping!
